11/9/2018 "Life and Death" diptych to be used as album cover art
The San Diego-based band "The Donnis Trio" will be releasing a new album in early 2019 that will feature my "Life and Death" diptych as its cover art. This will be the second album cover for The Donnis Trio that features my work (the first was for their single "Time to Forget"). Additionally, Nate Donnis penned and performed an amazing song inspired by my "Life and Death" piece called "Time to Go", which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Va0N0CkA
I am so excited for this new album to drop, and am very grateful to Nate for his artistry and for this opportunity. Check out "The Donnis Trio" here" https://natedonnis.com/the-donnis-trio

11-22-2013 Arms and Artist Day: Higgins Armory- Worcester, MA
I just spent a fantastic day at the Higgins Armory (which is closing its doors after 83 years on December 31) as an invited artist for an "Arms and Artist" day. I spent the afternoon with several amazing artists- including the one and only James Gurney- sketching and shooting reference photos of the objects and architecture from this amazing place. It is our collective hope to launch an exhibition of the artwork generated by all of the artists as a final "tip of the hat" to the Higgins.
Thanks to the staff at Higgins Armory and to all of the wonderful artists that I met yesterday. A special thanks to artist Greg Shea for organizing this event and for inviting me to take part!

Paris in Plantsville Gallery and Studio is pleased to announce the opening of Pinxit: New Works by Sean Michanczyk & Eric Stegmaier on view from April 14 to May 1, 2012. Pinxit presents some 20 traditional and trompe loeil works completed by the award-winning artists over the past two years.
Michanczyks trompe loeils, with their rich palettes and traditional themes, successfully blend a Baroque style with modern materials and subjects.
Stegmaiers work explores a vast range of natural, historical, and literary subjects in both charcoal and oils. His style, self-described as being loosely tight, reflects compositional complexity and attention to detail.
